Unity West Families, just a reminder about after school pick-up. Please pull all the way down to the last parked car in the lot. Pull directly behind the car in front of you. Do not stop at the cones, unless that is the natural place to stop because of the person in front of you. Please do not park in the spots parallel to the pick-up line. Please stay in your vehicle. Please share this information with anyone who may pick up your student and does not get the messages from the school.

Today we welcomed a new group of little rockets! Shout out to our siblings and some of our 5th graders leaders for helping our Kindergarten students feel welcomed on their first day! #WeAreWest

Yesterday was the last first day for two of the finest. Mrs. Teri Payne will be retiring at the end of February after 27 years of service in Unit 7 as a secretary. Mrs. Susanne Gateley will be retiring at the end of the school year after 20 years of service as our school nurse. We hope you both have an incredible last ride!! #WeAreWest

We would like to welcome Mr. Joe Mancuso as our new PE teacher. Joe's hobbies are golf, hockey, and fishing. Joe is excited to teach here because, "this school already feels like home. There's such a strong sense of community, staff, students, and families all supporting one another and its something really special to be part of. I know I'll get the chance to build meaningful relationships with so many of the students, and in time, I'll know most of them by name, but already know so many through working at Hand in Hand. That kind of connection is exactly why I chose to work in a place like this. It's even more meaningful knowing that my own kids will be part of this school one day.
