The Girls’ cross country team won the Metamora Invite on Saturday against seventeen 2A and three 3A schools. Erica Woodard, Emiily Decker, and Mackenzie Pound led the Rockets with times of 17:33, 17:45, and 17:49 respectively. Raegen Stringer and Oliva Shike rounded out the top five scoring Rockets with times of 18:38 and 18:40, both Season Best performances. Josie Cler also led the Rockets in the Fresh/Soph race in 10th place with a time of 19:28. Sam Gumbel dropped over two minutes to get her personal record. The team will finish out the regular season on Saturday at Detweiller Park in Peoria.
