Congratulations on a big invitational win for girls cross country at the Spartan Classic on Saturday.  Erica Woodard finished 5th overall with a time of 18:03. Other top scoring Rockets were Olivia Shike in 11th, Malia Fairbanks in 13th, Harper Hancock in 14th and Caelyn Kleparski in 15th.  For the Boys’ Cross Country team, Thomas Cler led the boys 10th place finish with a lifetime PR of 16:38 in 30th.

Attention students, if you did not get a yearbook from last year, they will be on sale on Monday, October 4th in the library. They will be $60.00.

Class of 2021 Senior Yearbooks can be picked up with Mrs. Graves in the library as well.  A signature will be required.

Voting for Homecoming King and Queen continues today and goes through Wednesday at 3 PM.  You should have received your ballot via your school email.  If you did not receive a ballot, please contact Mrs. Meyer.  All grade levels can vote for King and Queen.

Traveling through the hallways of UHS, we can see all the tourists traveling from class to class!  Showing the Pontiac Indians how worldly we are will certainly intimidate them come Friday night!

Tomorrow is Jersey Wednesday!  Break out your football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, or any other sports gear you’d like to wear tomorrow!

Tickets for the homecoming dance will be sold during lunch this week in the canteen.  Tickets are $10 for high school students, $5 for adults, and $3 for children 8th grade or younger.  Tickets can also be purchased at the gate on Saturday night.

Weather permitting, our 2021 Homecoming Dance will be held on the football field on Saturday, October 2nd.  The Gate will open at 6:30 PM, dance from 7 to 10 PM, and coronation will be held at 7:30.  Please do not plan on wearing pointy heels or chewing gum while on the field.  In case of inclement weather, we will hold this event in the Rocket Center where masks will be required.

Student Council will be selling Rocket Pura Vida bracelets during lunch this week in the canteen.  Bracelets are braided maroon, grey, and white and cost $8.  Show your school spirit and pick one up!

If you would like to enter a decorated car or truck, you may pick up a form in the office.  Entry fee is $5 and must be turned in by 3 PM tomorrow.  All parade participants are permitted to TOSS candy to spectators along the parade route.  Any reports of THROWING candy AT onlookers will result in disciplinary action.
