Congratulations to the horse judging teams. The reasons team placed 5th with high individuals including Raena Stierwalt 6th, Abby Woolcott 18th, Chloey Duitsman 22nd, and Paige Brewer 25th. The non reasons team placed 16th.
Students: You should have all received a homecoming court ballot via your school email. If you did not receive a ballot, please let Mrs. Meyer know. Voting for court will take place through Wednesday at noon. When you’re casting your ballot, please remember to be a good person and vote for someone you feel is truly deserving of this honor.
Next week, we will be celebrating Homecoming, with lots of things to look forward to! Please join in the fun by dressing up for the days of the week: Pajama Day Monday, Tourist Tuesday, Jersey Wednesday, Class Color War Thursday, and Spirit Day Friday.
Tickets for the homecoming dance will be sold next week in the canteen during lunch. Tickets are $10 for junior high and high school students, $5 for adults, and $3 for children 5th grade or younger.
Weather permitting, our 2021 Homecoming Dance will be held on the football field on Saturday, October 2nd. The Gate will open at 6:30 PM, the dance from 7 to 10 PM, and coronation will be held at 7:30. Please do not plan on wearing heels or chewing gum while on the field. In case of inclement weather, we will hold this event in the Rocket Center where masks will be required.
Student Council will be selling Rocket Pura Vida bracelets in the canteen all next week during lunch. Bracelets are braided maroon, grey, and white and cost $8. Show your school spirit and pick one up!
If you would like to enter a decorated car or truck, you may pick up a form in the office. Entry fee is $5 and must be turned in by Wednesday, September 29.
Students: If you have an interest in being on the scholastic bowl team, please stop by Mr. Wacker's room and go to the link or use the QR code to fill out the survey posted by the door.
Congratulations to the Unity Marching Rockets for their great performance in Bloomington-Normal this past Saturday. The Rockets received caption awards for Best Music, Best Auxiliary/Colorguard, and received first place overall in their class. It was a hot day, but well worth it. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication. Congratulations again to the Unity Marching Rockets!
National Honor Society Members there will be a meeting this Wednesday, September 22nd at 8 am in the Auditorium. Please contact Mrs. Decker if you are unable to attend.
There will be an important pep club meeting this Wednesday at 8 am in room 4.
Please be on time.
This Sunday the Pep club will host the annual bonfire to kick off Homecoming week.
There will be pizza, snacks, desserts and music.
All Unity High School students are welcome.
The bonfire will be from 6 to 8 pm. and will take place behind the east concession stand area.
