Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 4th the guidance office is asking students, faculty, and staff to celebrate "College Declaration Day".  Show your college spirit by wearing a shirt from your alma mater.  Seniors wear your gear supporting the college or military branch you will be enrolling in next year. Thanks in advance for participating in this annual event.

 

Students: have you misplaced an item and can’t seem to find it at home? Have you checked the lost and found at Unity?  The Lost and Found for larger items is in the cafeteria under the microwaves; smaller items like jewelry or glasses are in the office.  Anything not picked up by summer will be donated or thrown away.

 

The Unity Rockettes Dance Team will be hosting tryouts at the end of May. All Unity High School students are welcome to try out. The Clinics will be held Monday May 17th and Wednesday the 19th, with tryouts on Friday the 21st, from 5:30-7:30 in the high school gym. Please reach out to Coach Wilson for more information. 

 

 

Congratulations to Olivia Shike for winning the district creed speaking and varsity extemporaneous speaking FFA contests. Olivia advances to the state speaking contests in May. 

 

The girls track and field program had another great night on Friday taking second place at the Monticello Lady Invite that featured 10 of the area's best teams.  The Rockets finished just behind the state's #1 ranked team, Mt Zion.  The girls scored in 16 of 18 events.  Pacing the scoring by finishing in the top 3 included Gracie Cox 3rd in the discus, the 4x400 team of Caelyn Kleparski, Audrey Remole, Harper Hancock, and Caroline Bachert also took 3rd, the 4x800 team of Harper Hancock, Olivia Shike, Erika Woodard, and Arianna Pruitt-LeFaivre was 2nd,  Bri Ritchie 2nd in the 300 meter hurdles, Audrey Remole 3rd in the high jump, Ariarra Pruitt-LeFaivre 3rd in the triple jump, Aly Bagwell was 2nd in the shot put, and Caelyn Kleparski was 1st in the Pole Vault.  The relay team of Kayla Nelson, Kylie Weller, Shannon Flavin, and Lauren Miller took 1st in the 4 X 2 and 3rd in the 4 x 1. The Rockets will be at the Rantoul Invite this Saturday.
