The girls track and field program got their season going over the weekend at Shelbyville by winning the 4 team meet in dominating fashion.  The Rockets were led by some great performances that landed in the state's rankings.  Breaking into the top 10 for 2A in Illinois were:  Olivia Shike 10th in the 3200 meter run, Bri Ritchie 9th in the 100 meter hurdles, Erika Woodard 7th in the 3200 meter run, Gracie Cox 7th in the discus, the relay team of Kayla Nelson, Lauren Miller, Shannon Flavin, and Kyleigh Weller is 3rd in the 4x100 and 4th in the 4x200, and Caelyn Kleparski is 2nd in the Pole Vault.  The Rockets will look to climb the rankings this Friday in Monticello at the Lady Sages Invite.

For the first time in 700 days, the Unity Softball team took the field this past Saturday. The Rockets defeated Mt. Zion 13-3 behind Taylor Henry's 8 strikeout, complete game pitching performance.
