This project involves
finding examples of geometric figures in the world around us. You will have two major components to this
project. One is to find the examples and
the second is to define the geometric figure.
You may display your
information in poster format or in booklet format.
POSTER - If you choose to make a poster, follow these
guidelines.

Use a full sheet
of poster board
v
Include a clever
title.
v
Include twenty
photographs or pictures from magazines of a geometric figure. Each picture should be of a different figure. Clip art or pictures from the internet are
not allowed.
v
Each photo or
picture should be neatly mounted on colored paper or construction paper and
then mounted on the poster board.
v
Under each photo
or picture, include the name of the geometric figure and its definition. This should be neatly written or typed.
v
A reflective
paragraph outlining what you have learned from this project. This should be neatly written or typed.
Booklet – If you choose to make a booklet, follow these
guidelines.
v
Use 1/2 sheet of
construction paper for the front and back cover, and each photo page.
v
Bind the booklet
by punching holes in all the pages and securing with string, yarn, paper
fasteners, rings, etc.
v
Include a clever
title on the cover page.
v
Include twenty
photographs or pictures from magazines of a geometric figure. Each picture should be of a different
figure. Clip art or pictures from the
internet are not allowed.

Credit
You may earn extra credit on
this project in any of the following ways.
A maximum of 10 extra credit
points can be earned.
Creativity – up to 3 points
Pictures with 2-3 figures that are all correctly labeled
and defined – 1 point each picture
Pictures with 4 or more figures correctly labeled and defined
– 2 points each picture
