I
love
math, and I love teaching math. I get high achievement from my students
by
setting high expectations. I want my students to be able to compete
with the
best and the brightest from across the state, the country, and the
world when
they go to college and enter the job market. We all learn in different
ways.
So, we will study topics from many points of view (descriptive,
numeric,
visual, and algebraic) AND use technology (graphing calculators, for
example)
as an aid along the way. One of our most important goals is to
strengthen our
problem-solving and communication skills, which are essential not just
for
mathematicians and scientists but for most successful people in their
daily
lives. Mathematics opens up worlds of opportunities for you as you set
your
future academic and career goals. |
