  Unity High           School        Wind Ensemble
Wind Ensemble is the name of the band class at Unity High School.  It is the centerpiece of the instrumental music program.  This class rehearses music for concert band, pep band and marching band.  We rehearse every day and include techniques that improve the skills of the individual musician.
In Wind Ensemble we will explore different music styles; folk music, classical, contemporary, pop, soundtracks, broadway and concert marches.  We perform four concerts per year, one each semester.   We also perform at home basketball games and home football games.  Opportunities for solo and small ensemble performance are also available through this ensemble.  As a side note the band had 25 members in 2006, 33 in 2007 and  we anticipate 40+ members in 2008.
This year will see the first performances of the new "Rocket Marching Band".  We began the year with a week of marching band instruction.  This is a milestone for our music department at Unity High School.  Stay tuned!
