On Wednesday February 27, 2008 the
Unit 7 School board voted to purchase 60 uniforms for marching
band.
The Music Boosters followed their lead with the purchase of uniforms and flags for the color guard along with a new podium. The new Rocket Marching Band's debut performance was on Friday August 29, 20008 after a nearly 20 year absence from Hicks Field. The Band performed their opener, concert and drum solo to a standing ovation by the Rocket Nation. There is once again a Marching Band at Unity High School |

In 2008 it was the Beatles, 2009,
The Who and 2010 the show featrued the sounds of Styx. In 2011
our show will feature Evanesence, Allan Parson's Project. Mike Oldfield
and Journey. We call it "Music from the Dark Side". As
always the
band will perform the Pregame "U" and make our Rocket. This year
the band will also attempt to perform and actual pregame show
with a patriotic persentation before the singing of our National
Anthem. We will
form the tunnel for the team and play in the stands to support our
football team. |
