Unity
High School Drum Line New in 2006, the Unity
Drum Line is an
extra-curricular activity that allows the student musician to explore
music in a marching drum line ensemble. The activity is open to
all high school students and select junior high school students by
invitation. This ensemble was the foundation in our move toward a
marching band. At present the drum line performs as a standing
ensemble at concerts and home football games. They perform with
the pep band and as an independent ensemble.

Assignments: | Students
are assigned to their instrument by ability not age. It may
become necessary to change an assignment to create a balanced
ensemble. This will be at the discretion of the instructor.
|
| Performance: |
Students
are expected to perform with a high level of maturity, control and
musicianship. This ensemble is an advanced level group and it is
important that members maintain proper behavior. |
