Lynn Strack, Class of 1962, graduated from Eastern Illinois University
with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, Master of Science
Degree in Education and a Specialist in Educational Administration.
Lynn taught and coached at Atwood-Hammond high school and Tuscola High
School. He taught, coached and served as an administrator at Unity
Junior High in Tolono. Lynn served as principal and superintendent of
Atwood-Hammond School District from 1980-1985. He was superintendent of
Schools at St. Joseph-Ogden School District from 1985-1994. He served
as Superintendent of Schools for Centralia from 1994 until his
retirement in 2000. He is working with Salem School District as a
consulting administrator. Lynn was a member is IEA, NEA, Illinois
Association of School Administrators, Illinois Principal's Association
and served on North Central Evaluation teams. Lynn is a life-long
member of the Lutheran Church. He is a member of ABC, Rotary, and Elks.
Lynn coached Little League and served on the St. Joseph Volunteer
Rescue Squad and Fire Department. Lynn's focus has always been on what
is best for the children of the district he was serving. His knowledge
and experience benefited the many districts he served including Unit
Seven Schools.
