Vicki Shipley-Jackisch received a Bachelor of Arts
in
Accounting from Illinois State
University and a Masters of
Arts in
Business Administration from the University
of Illinois at Springfield. Ms. Shipley-Jackisch is currently serving as
the Vice President for Government and Industry Relations for FinanSure
Student
Loans. She has held similar positions
with Southwest Student Services Corporation and the Illinois Student
Assistance
Commission. Ms. Shipley is a distinguished
expert of 23 years in national education policy and student loan
regulatory
issues. Ms. Shipley-Jackisch is a national leader in student loan
policy,
legislative and regulatory issues. She
represents her organization’s interest before members of Congress and
their
staffs, the U.S. Department of Education and numerous industry
committees and
commissions. She has spent the past 27 years as an advocate for
improving
access to higher education and making college more affordable. Her mantra is “more scholarship and grant
money for college and fewer regulations”.
Vicki was the recipient of the 2000-2001 Jean S. Frohlicher
Outstanding
Service Award for her distinguished contributions to the student
lending industry. She has been a member of
the National Council
of Higher Education Loan Programs (NCHELP) Board of Directors and a
member of
the NCHELP Regulations Committee since 1992 and has served as the
co-chair
since 1997. She is also a member of
several state and national student financial aide administrators’
organizations
and has received several awards for her service to these organizations
